Let’s hear it for the kidney bean!

And it also shows that good food is a feast for the eyes as well the mouth, the photographs of simple, wholesome ingredients is just lovely.

It’s hard to pick a favourite, but this week we are going for kidney beans. As the article says: “There’s a whole family of different kidney-shaped beans, including cannellini, flageolet and red kidney. Red kidney beans are true stars for fibre, containing more of this nutrient than most other beans. Just half a large tin (120g drained weight) provides a third of the fibre needed by adults a day.
