French Cuisinées: Green lentil and sweet chestnut simmered with classic vegetables, rosemary and thyme.
Easy Bean uniquely features beans in each of its recipes and is the brainchild of Christina Baskerville who developed the company at her kitchen table in her Dorset home and set up the company in 2007. She now employs six people and works from a converted farm building near Castle Cary, Somerset.
The meals are easy to prepare, microwavable or heated in a pan, having been slowly cooked in one pot, in small batches. Beans and vegetables are infused with herbs and spices, sometimes added to locally sourced meat, and all cooked in rich stocks. They are high in fibre, low in fat and salt and also have the benefit of being gluten and dairy free; and furthermore they provide two to three of your 5-a-day.
Easy Bean was inspired by Christina’s work in different countries around the world, and promise ‘Lunch on the go or supper in a mo’. The dishes can be heated up as they are for a quick and tasty lunch or added to rice or a jacket potato for a delicious, healthy evening meal.
Christina said: “Ordering Easy bean online is so simple and gives busy people the security of knowing they always have something healthy in the house for lunch or dinner.”
